In a month Norah Owens from Indianapolis would be four years old, however, her life ended after a serious road accident on I-65 in Franklin.

In an interview with Fox 59, Cari Stephens said that at the time of the accident the minor was traveling with her mother, Lindsey, who was going to the house of a relative who had recently been hospitalized for Covid.

According to the woman, on the way Lindsey’s car started to stop: “She made it slow down and stopped as fast as that could. She thought she was out of the way.”

Meanwhile, the Indiana State Police reported that the dispatchers received an emergency call and indicated about a vehicle that was partially stopped and using the left lane, likewise, they indicated that while the aid body was on the way r they received other calls alerting about a serious accident in the same place.

The police found the minor trapped between the driver’s seat and the back seat. The body of The rescue managed to get her out with difficulty and they transferred her to a hospital by air, but the efforts were not enough because Norah Owens died.

“She had a lot of life. We were supposed to celebrate her fourth birthday and she will not be here”, said Cari Stephens, relative of the girl.

Official data indicates that a truck crashed into the car that was partially stopped; both the mother of the minor and the driver of the van sustained minor injuries.

Through a GoFundMe page, the family has highlighted the qualities of the girl, in addition to asking for help for her funeral: “She was only three years old and she will never grow up. She will not experience as much as she should. She loved to sing, dance and wanted to be a princess. The whole family wants her to be remembered for how amazing she was. And for other drivers, all it takes is a second. All you have to do is look away to play on your radio or look at your cell phone or send a text message and you could take another baby’s life.”
