Jamie Lynn Spears has responded to the reproaches made by her older sister on Instagram after seeing the interview she gave this Thursday on the ‘Good Morning America’ program to ensure that she hasn’t worked a single day in her life and that she is taking advantage of her fame to sell copies of her new book.
First of all, she has sent a message to Britney through that same platform in the hope that she will read it, although it is not clear if she will because a few weeks ago she stopped following her and today she has announced that she will take a break from social networks.
In any case, Jamie wanted to assure him once again that he has his full support: “Brit, I am always here for you , you know that behind the stage I’ve always been there. But it’s exhausting when the conversations we have and the messages we send each other privately don’t match what you post on social media. I know you’re going through a lot and I would never downplay that, but I can’t downgrade myself either.”
On the other hand, Jamie defended both her controversial interview and the recently published memoirs to clarify that she is also a Spears and she has every right in the world to share the experiences that have marked her, although they often involve the princess of pop in one way or another.
“I hate breaking up the bubble my sister lives in, but my book is not about her,” she said. “I started working hard before I was even a teenager, and I’ve built my career even though I was just someone’s little sister.”
The former lead of the series ‘Zoey 101’ insists that she is not interested in starring in “any drama” and just wants to close this unpleasant chapter, marked by the confrontation with his sister. However, she finds it very difficult to do so when Britney’s public reproaches make her the target of threats and criticism from her fan base.
“Frankly, the things that are said are not at all true, and I have to clarify it because it seems to me every time harder to explain to my oldest daughter why our family continues to receive death threats as a result of vague and accusatory messages posted by her aunt, especially when we know that she could tell the truth and put an end to all this in a second if I wanted”, he added in his Instagram post.
