The cases of soccer players with heart problems continue to cause great concern. The last one to be revealed is that of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal striker, in the African Cup of Nations.
After overcoming COVID, the Gabonese man and two other colleagues were diagnosed with heart injuries, as well that they were not allowed to participate during the match that ended in a draw 1-1 between Gabon and Ghana.
“According to the medical commission of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the players Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Axel Meyé and Mario Lemina, who were discharged after having gone through COVID, will not be part of the match against Ghana. The tests showed heart injuries, and the CAF does not want to take any risks“, announced the Gabonese federation.
Aubameyang has not been able to debut with his national team in the Africa Cup of Nations, given that tested positive for COVID a week ago, when he landed in Cameroon.
