After publishing ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey’, in 2022, Mariah Carey is now ready to launch her first book for children by the writer Michaela Angela Davis, so that she can express all her talent.
The novel already has a title, ‘ The Christmas Princess’, and the story is clearly inspired by his Christmas classic: ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’.
However, the singer has assured on her Instagram account that, in reality, what she has tried is to take the most dramatic chapters of his personal history, coming largely from his childhood, to transform them into a ‘fairy tale’ for the little ones.
“Why not create an enchanted land to escape to? It has been empowering to be able to transform that turmoil of my childhood into a modern fairy tale full of surprises and infinite hope”, he wrote.
The book , which has illustrations by Fuuji Takashi, will be available next October, although from now on it can be booked on the page of the publisher Henry Bolt Books.
The cover features a miniature version of the music star who, in Mariah’s own words, represents her inner child.
“Little Mariah represents my inner child who believes in her own vision. She represents all children, especially those who feel strange or ‘other’, striving to believe in themselves”, she expressed in her networks.
