After the suspension of the Seville derby due to an attack against the Sevilla player, Joan Jordan, the Betis footballers assured that the coach Julen Lopetegui incited the attacked player to pretend to feel dizzy and stay on the ground.
The first Betis player to make such a statement was midfielder Víctor Camarasa, who after suspending the match, rejected what happened through his social networks and let them know what the Sevilla coach had supposedly said to his player.
“The action of someone who does not represent our fans is embarrassing and unjustifiable. I hope that Joan Jordan is fine, although we have all heard (including the 4th referee) how her coach encouraged her to ‘become dizzy and throw herself on the ground’”, Camarasa expressed in his account Twitter.
A few minutes later, the midfielder published another tweet in which he clarified that his intention was not to question the state of health of the player who was attacked. “With this tweet I am not saying that Joan is faking or simulating, I am only telling what has been heard in the field”, he stressed.
For his part, the also Betis player, Juan Miranda also published a tweet rejecting what happened and agreed with Camarasa’s accusations about what Lopetegui had done. “I completely condemn what happened in the stands and I hope Jordan is okay. We have all heard how his coach encouraged him to throw himself and get dizzy , they knew what they were doing, “he wrote.
