A woman aged 23 was pushed onto the tracks at the Brouckére metro station in Brussels, Belgium, by a young man for no apparent reason.

The images spread through social networks show how the woman fell just as the train entered the station. However, the driver managed to stop in time without hitting her.

The people who were at the scene witnessed the act and decided to go immediately to rescue the victim. Fortunately they managed to get it off the tracks minutes later.

The cameras Metro security captured the man walking and observing all the people, presumably to choose his victim.

The authorities, together with the Brussels emergency services, were called immediately and both the victim and the driver were taken to the nearest hospital, according to local media.

Although the subject fled the scene just after pushing the woman, he was captured minutes later by Brussels Police.
