The National Police of El Salvador seized two rifles from three gang members of the MS13 (Mara Salvatrucha) who were arrested in Ilopango, San Salvador, this Sunday afternoon.
The detainees were identified as Moisés Alberto Gónzales, alias ‘Tranquilo’, Jonathan Munguía Linares, alias ‘Moreno’ and Carlos Ariel Villeda, alias ‘Cara de Piedra’ ‘.
The criminals were detained in the Rosa Virginia community, which is located in the vicinity of the region’s Women’s Prison; “Thanks to the blocking of the signal, their communications by other means could be easily intercepted,” explained the Salvadoran Police on their Twitter account.
These people will be prosecuted for carrying weapons of war and illicit groups.
“With the new modification to the crimes related to firearms by the National Assembly, they will face many years in prison”, the authorities pointed out.
