The death comes less than two weeks after Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams announced a renewed push to address subway homelessness, including the deployment of additional police officers and social workers to the New York City Subway. , recalled Daily News.

In 2021 there were several homicides and natural deaths in the New York subway, as well as various incidents, some more serious than others.
