According to what the artist of 57 years old told the specialized media Architectural Digest a couple of years ago, he began to build this space while on tour in Brazil. During that time he was attracted by the culture, the people, the music and the land there.
At the end of that tour he visited a house in the countryside that left him impressed when he woke up. According to his account, he was surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and animals that completely seduced him.
He stayed six months in that place and began to learn everything that was allowed there, very different from the lifestyle offered by his native New York.
