Betty White’s death on New Year’s Eve was devastating in the world of entertainment, especially since she was only two weeks away from her birthday 100 years: a celebration that the actress was looking forward to.
In honor of that milestone, this 17 January the assistant of White, Kiersten Mikelas, revealed a photo of the actress, taken on 20 December, just a few days before his death.
“Hello everyone! I am Kiersten. Betty’s assistant. On this special day, I wanted to share this photo of Betty. It was taken on 20/ /01. I think it’s one of the last photos of her“, he wrote next to the image of Betty that showed that until his last days alive he was all smiles.
“She was radiant, beautiful and as happy as ever,” Kiersten noted in a Facebook post.
In the snapshot, the legendary actress from ‘The Golden Girls’ can be seen sitting on an armchair wearing a bright green ensemble, jewelry, her face full of makeup and a wide smile.
“Thanks to all of you who are doing kind things today and every day to make the world a better place”, is how the post ends.
This Monday also premiered a documentary celebrating White’s 100th birthday, ‘Betty White: A Celebration’, which had a one-day theatrical run and begins with a pre-recorded message from the actress thanking her fans for coming to her party.
Google also honored White on her birthday by filling her search page with rose petals, a nod to Rose, her character from ‘The Golden Girls’.
