The star Dominican baseball player Robinson Canó confirmed his participation in the Caribbean Series 2022, in which the Dominican Republic will not only host, but will also be defending the crown obtained last year.

Journalist Tenchy Rodríguez reported that Canó, regardless of what happens in the final of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), will attend the Caribbean appointment.

Robinson Canó is a member of the Estrellas Orientales squad, a team that is facing the Gigantes del Cibao in the tournament final. The experienced slugger has been a benchmark for his team throughout the campaign.

This Tuesday both teams are playing the second match of the grand final. Game 1 was won by Canó and his Estrellas Orientales.

Canó is getting ready for the 2022 MLB season, in which he will represent the New York Mets. In 2021 he did not play a single game of the best baseball in the world due to his suspension for testing positive for prohibited substances.
