New Jersey authorities are investigating the death of a mother and her son after the woman’s vehicle fell into a pond on Tuesday morning.
The incident , which was reported near Stelton Road and Lakeview Avenue around 5: 30 am Tuesday, was attended by the teams, who found a car floating in New Market Pond with a woman and her nine-month-old son.
The victims of the accident were identified as Tamequa Robinson, of 30 years old, and their son Noah, who were pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, reported ABC7 NY.
The security cameras that are being reviewed by the police detailed that the vehicle ran off the road and into the water hours before the inc The identity was notified.
For its part, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating how the vehicle jumped a curb so high that it made it turn almost 90 degrees and then dive into the water.
Although the cause of the incident has not been determined by authorities, Lilian Robinson, mother of Tamequa, suggested that her daughter was in a state of depression, for which she had asked her not to take the child out.
“I think my daughter was dealing with the depression and did not want help“said Tamequa’s mother.
