The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, reported that he will travel to Ukraine this Wednesday, where he will meet with the president, Volodímir Zelenski, to discuss issues related to the tensions that exist with Russia.

The State Department explained that this Thursday Blinken will travel to Berlin to meet with the German minister, Annalena Baerbock, with whom he will also discuss hypothetical advances by Russia in Ukraine.

Next At the meeting with Baerbock, the highest diplomatic representatives of the US and Germany, will also be those of the United Kingdom and France.

The secretary’s trips and consultations are part of diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the tension caused by Russia’s military build-up and continued aggression against Ukraine,” he said. US Department of State in a statement.

Several meetings were held last week in Geneva, Brussels and Vienna in which Russian representatives held meetings with American officials.
