Despite the fact that the authorities in Louisiana increased the bail against the man accused of dismembering his girlfriend and hiding his torso in a refrigerator to $1.4 million, he could be released.
Orleans County Magistrate Benjamin Beale raised the initially imposed $400,000 to the millionaire sum after evidence in the case pointed to Beale, aged 34, beating and strangling the victim, identified as Julia Dardar, aged 34.
According to the evidence handled by the authorities, Beale dismembered the body with a chainsaw.
However, despite the millionaire figure, the suspect would be released on bail, since the defendant’s parents are wealthy and can pay the large sum, he indicated a source to WWL.
The person also revealed that if Beale, with a history of violent crimes, were released, other people would be at risk.
On January 11, an inspection by New Orleans police officers resulted in the discovery of Dardar’s headless torso in a refrigerator owned by Beale .
The freezer was located in a bus in the backyard of the defendant’s home.
The remains were found near the saw that had fluids and tissues on the leaves. Detectives indicated that they also recovered protective glasses, garbage bags and a face shield near the torso.
