Racism continues to be a problem in society, as shown by the email received by the owner of a store asking for a refund for her purchase because she does not usually support black people.
“Can you cancel my order? Unfortunately, I didn’t know you’re a person of color and I just don’t like supporting small businesses that don’t (align) with my version of support,” the client began the email.
The client did not stop, on the contrary, he continued to argue why he wanted his refund: “Before starting and following a tyrannical career, keep in mind that (it is) called my preference. Because we all know how you like to act when things don’t go your way.”
The owner could not contain herself and responded through a video that she later shared on her TikTok account: “What do you mean you guys? How do we like to act? How do you expect someone to act when it’s 2022 and you’re still giving this kind of energy?”
The client , apart from requesting her refund the next day, she made another request to the owner, and asked that she make it clear on her site that she is a black woman.
