The New York office of the Weather Service forecasts rain this Wednesday afternoon, but during the night and early morning of Thursday there will be a snowfall in at least states, including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The New England region, which includes six entities, will also be affected by the snowfall.

“There will be light rain along a cold front Wednesday night, gradually changing to snow overnight,” the forecast indicates. “There may be a slight accumulation with potential impacts Thursday morning.”

One to two inches expected in the metropolitan area of the Big Apple, indicates the report that emphasizes winds and low temperatures.

The National Meteorological reported that other entities towards the southeast of the country will also be affected at least with low temperatures, including regions of Georgia, Texas and Florida.

“We continue to monitor a potential winter weather in the states along the Gulf Coast and the Mid-Atlantic”, indicates the NWS.

The greatest impacts in that region will be on Thursday and Friday.

The Meteorological announced that the worst moments of winter will be felt in the coming weeks, mainly with “surprising” changes, due to the La Niña phenomenon.

Last week, more than 15 states dealt with the effects of Storm Izzy.
