Brianna Kupfer, aged 24, was murdered inside the luxury furniture store Croft House in Hancock Park in Los Angeles, while working.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported at the time through a press release that the UCLA graduate student was the only employee inside the the store when a suspicious man entered and fatally stabbed her.

Officers have also disclosed that the victim had a bad feeling when she saw the man enter the store door and expressed her feelings to a friend via text message.

“He texted a friend saying there was someone inside the place that gave him a bad vibe. Unfortunately, that person did not see the text message right away,” said LAPD Lieutenant John Radtke.

According to investigations, Brianna Kupfer died 15 minutes after the man entered the place and after committing his task he fled the place; It was a customer who noticed that the lifeless body of the employee was on the floor of the store.

Los Angeles officials are offering a reward of more than $200,000 for information leading to the arrest of the man suspected of stabbing Brianna Kupfer who, thanks to several security cameras, has been identified as Shawn Laval Smith.

Los Angeles City Councilor Paul Koretz said that: “We will find this vicious criminal, arrest him and prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.”

Shawn Laval Smith has been described as an African-American man with braided hair, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses with orange reflective lenses, a N mask 40 white, skinny gray jeans, sneakers Dark sunglasses and a black backpack.

The police also indicated that they believe the man is homeless and that the murder was a random attack.
