they-get-married-and-the-groom-asks-his-partner-for-a-divorce-hours-after-the-wedding-for-a-song-he-sang-at-the-party

It is normal that some marriages do not work after a certain time, but what is not very common is that separations or divorces occur just a few days after the wedding.

A couple from Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, appear to hold the record for the fastest divorce in 2022 after they decided to continue their relationship just hours after getting married .

The one who promptly filed for divorce was the boyfriend, alleging that he disliked a song that his wife sang at the reception, considering that it was “provocative” lyrics. According to Gulf News it is a song called “Mesaytara” by Lamis Kan, which translates into Spanish as “I am dominant” or “I will control you”.

The song also says the following: “I’m dominant; you will be governed under my strict instructions. I’ll drive you crazy if you look at other girls on the street. Yes, I am dominant. You are my piece of sugar; as long as you are with me, you will walk under my orders. I’m arrogant, I’m arrogant”.

In addition, this boyfriend’s family did not think that his partner danced it while he sang it, according to them, making movements that they considered provocative.

This situation led to a strong fight between the bride and groom in the middle of the wedding that led them to make the decision to process their divorce immediately.
