The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that as of the last day of December the number of job offers changed little to stay at 10.9 million, where hires decreased to 6.3 million and total dismissals to 5.9 million.

Among industries, only the federal government had an increase in total separations of 15,000 low.
The number of dropouts fell in December to 4.3 million (-260.000) after a high series recorded in November. The rate of resignations changed little at 2.9%.

– Construction: -44.000.
During the 12 months ending December 2021, hirings totaled 75.3 million and separations totaled 68.9 million, yielding a net employment gain of 6.4 million.
