Last 19 January, the body of Taylour Young was discovered in Dallas, Texas, a man from 25 years old missing almost two months ago.

Young’s body was found in the trunk of his vehicle at an impound lot in Dallas, the Monday the Houston Police Department; his remains were “in an advanced state of decomposition”.

The police reported that the homicide investigation is still ongoing and that the doctor Dallas County Coroner will soon determine the cause of Young’s death, which will open new lines of investigation to find a culprit.

Following the news, Young’s mother, Tiffany Robinson , shared a statement on social networks.

“As I shared Taylor’s disappearance with the world, I also want to share my worldly loss. I lost my son, my baby, my friend; and now I will raise his love, his dog Gigi”, he wrote on Instagram along with a photo of his son.

“During time of mourning, I ask that you continue to lift us up in prayer,” added Robinson, thanking those who supported his family during his search. “Please be mindful and respectful of our privacy and the fact that the investigation is still ongoing.”

Young was last seen on December 9, 2021 on surveillance footage driving a silver Honda Civic 2019 near Capital One Bank on South Voss Road in Houston.

Speaking of his son, Robinson recently told PEOPLE that Young was a “quiet kid.”

“He was humble, pleasant, active and friendly. He loves fishing, riding his bike, but most importantly skateboarding,” Robinson said. “He is not argumentative. He is not a fighter. He loves helping people. It’s strange that this could happen to him, to disappear.”

After his disappearance, Robinson received a great deal of support.

“He is so loved. His co-workers tell me funny stories. I didn’t know Taylor would go to Whole Foods and play bingo with older people.
