mexico-vs.-panama:-probable-lineups,-schedules-and-how-to-see-el-tri-on-matchday-11-of-the-octagonal

In the penultimate triple round of the Qualifiers, Mexico needed to score points and has four to go in this Wednesday’s game against Panama. To endorse these performances, they must keep the three points against the Canaleros if they do not want to get into trouble again for the Qatar World Cup 2022.

After the agonizing victory against Jamaica with goals from Henry Martín and Alexis Vega, they traveled to the Azteca Stadium and did not pass a goalless draw against the tough Costa Rican team. This equality revived doubts about Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino’s trial.

For its part, Panama has just lost 1-0 against Costa Rica and beat Jamaica 3-2. Results that keep it in fourth position (repechage) with 17 points, four more than Costa Rica and one less than Mexico.

The last time Panama and Mexico met They faced each other on September 8, 2021 for the third round of the Concacaf Octagonal and finished 1-1 at the Rommel Fernández Stadium. Rolando Blackburn put the Canaleros ahead at 28′ and ‘Tecatito’ Corona put the parity at 76′.

El Tri has not lost against Panama in its last 10 challenges (8 wins and 2 draws). Panama has not left its fence empty in its last six games.
