The upcoming series on the streaming service Hulu titled ‘Pam & Tommy’ will focus on the theft and leak of the home video that Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson recorded during their honeymoon in 1995, in which they appeared having sexual relations.
The actors Sebastian Stan and Lily James are in charge of giving life to the iconic couple in fiction and, before filming begins, he studied as much material as he could find about the drummer of the band Mötley Crüe, including the infamous tape around which the whole story revolves.
“He did it as part of the research process. I think it’s part of your job as an actor to find out everything you can about the person you’re going to play,” Sebastian said in an interview on ‘This Morning’. “But I didn’t see it when it first came out, because I must have been about 12 years old.”
Neither Tommy Lee nor Pamela have wanted to get involved in the project, although he has indirectly given his approval by confessing to his friends who is flattered by the curiosity that continues to arouse his intimate life to this day. He also likes the idea of letting the whole world know that he was one of the stars of the first two-celebrity home tape to go viral, long before Kim Kardashian and ex Ray J leaked.
However, the actress of ‘Baywatch’ is not happy that such a painful episode of her past is reopened and refused to respond to the producers’ attempts to get in touch with her. In the end, Lily had to settle for watching her old interviews and reading her biography to try to get to know her better.
