The second winter storm in less than a week in the United States will affect some 21 states, from the New England region to the Center and South of the country, says the National Weather Service (NWS).
The impact, with damage to roads and electricity services in some areas, is expected to be for more than 85 million people.
On Monday the NWS announced that the storm would bring between three and four inches in most of the states, but some regions will have more than 15 and maybe up to 20 inches.
” We are closely monitoring the major winter storm impacting a large portion of the US from New Mexico to New England to the northeast.
The Meteorological does not advance much about the precipitation, but indicates that it will be varied in each state.
The CNN meteorologist stated that the greatest impact will occur in the Rocky Mountains on Tuesday, but the storm extends to Wednesday with effects on the East coast.
Road trips, at least for three days, will be dangerous, so it is recommended to take precautions or cancel plans.
The Chicago office of the NWS monitors the development of the storm, but suggests that citizens stay informed about the update of the reports.
States like New York and New Jersey are expected to have lower temperatures and face rain due to the snow storm.
