united-states-vs.-honduras:-probable-line-ups,-schedules-and-how-to-watch-this-concacaf-octagonal-game

The United States comes from different results after beating El Salvador and losing in their visit to Canada, this last duel took them away from first place and they keep them in second place along with Mexico. Now against Honduras they cannot afford to lose points and endanger their direct pass to the World Cup.

Behind Canada, which has 22 points, the United States and Mexico go by train with 18 points and continue to Panama in the playoff with 17. Basically, the three fight to avoid the playoffs, without taking their eyes off Costa Rica, which has 13 points and with a win against Jamaica would put them squarely in the fight.

Honduras arrives with two defeats against Canada and El Salvador with the same result: 2-0. They are last in the table with three points and they are already thinking about the next cycle of Qualifying Road to the World Cup in 2026.
