John Torres became the second arrested for the murder of Pamela Graddick (12), a case that was closed for almost 10 years in New York.
At the end of January Wanda Veguilla was arrested and later confessed to the murder of Graddick, his ex-girlfriend, whose body was found on September 4, 550, when a resident reported a bad odor in the vicinity of Sprain Brook Parkway, Yonkers. Officers later discovered a plastic bag containing the woman’s body, wrapped in a quilt.
Torres (30), a resident of Yonkers, has now been charged with providing the weapon used in the homicide and helping Veguilla transport the body. Police said the crime occurred as a result of ongoing domestic problems between Veguilla and Graddick, who lived together in the Bronx.
Both suspects were processed in Yonkers and booked into the Westchester County Jail, reported News 11.
The victim was last seen on surveillance video the night of 11 August 2012 passing a business on Morris Avenue in the Bronx on the way home from shopping with friends, according to LoHud.com. The researchers they think he was shot once in the head.
Veguilla had been a suspect in the case, but was not arrested until last month, when data recovered from the victim’s cell phone helped dispute her alibi that she had been away that weekend , the authorities said.
