One person was hospitalized in the Bronx after a man allegedly set fire to the apartment building where his ex-girlfriend lives after an argument, according to the New York police.

NYPD reported that the event happened around pm on Sunday. The 28 year old suspect and his former partner had a verbal dispute after he showed up at the building where she lives, located on Faile St, between Aldus and East 165th streets, in the Longwood neighborhood.

After the argument, the man proceeded to intentionally set fire to the building, according to a New York police spokesman. A young man aged 23 who lives there was injured in the fire and was taken to a nearby hospital due to smoke inhalation, indicated Pix.

The alleged arsonist had not been arrested as of yesterday, authorities said. The police did not provide images or a description of the requested.
