The Cuban Foreign Ministry denounced this Thursday that the embargo or economic blockade by the United States is celebrating its 60 anniversary, and considers that it pursues the political objective of “overthrowing ” the communist system in force on the island since 1959.
In a conversation, the director of Legal Affairs and Analysis of the US directorate in The Cuban Foreign Ministry, Ismara Vargas, criticized that to date, 12 North American governments have managed a political line of “economic suffocation”.
Havana considers that “it constitutes a massive, flagrant and systematic violation of the human rights of all Cuban men and women,” details the statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of that country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, David Ramírez criticized that the president, Joe Biden, keeps “intact” all the “coercive measures imposed by his predecessor”.
