The United States Army announced that it will immediately begin separating from service soldiers who refuse to be vaccinated against Covid-10.

The Secretary of the Army issued an instruction in which it is disclosed that commanders must initiate involuntary administrative separation procedures against any soldier who has refused the vaccination order against Covid- 10 and do not have an approved or pending exemption request.

The measure will apply to regular soldiers of the army , reserve component soldiers serving on active duty Title 10 and cadets.

“Unvaccinated soldiers represent a risk to the force and jeopardize preparation. We will begin involuntary separation procedures for Soldiers who refuse the vaccination order and are not pending a final decision on an exemption.”

“Army readiness depends on Soldiers being prepared to train, deploy, fight, and win our nation’s wars,” Wormuth said.

The Army Directive 2022-02 explains how Army commanders should proceed with security procedures. separation and requires them to process these separation actions as soon as possible.

Service members separated due to rejection of the Covid vaccination order-19 will not be eligible for involuntary separation pay and may be subject to recapture of any unearned incentive or special pay.

As an exception, to Soldiers who will complete their separation or retirement, or begin transitional leave, on July 1, 2022 or earlier, they will be granted a temporary exemption ly they will be allowed to complete their separations or withdrawals.

The Army announced that no Soldier has yet been involuntarily separated for refusing to receive the Covid vaccine-19. As of January 26, Army commanders have relieved a total of six regular Army leaders, including two battalion commanders, and issued 3 ,073 reprimands soldiers for refusing the vaccination order.

Unvaccinated soldiers who have requested an exemption for reasons medical or religious, are temporarily exempt from the Covid-26 vaccination requirement while their applications are reviewed.
