PepsiCo’s Rockstar Energy is launching a new, sugar-free, calorie-free hemp seed oil-infused energy drink called Rockstar Unplugged.
According to the drink’s creators, the combination of its components help to give a boost of energy and maintain a relaxed and fluid attitude.
Rockstar Unplugged contains 80 mg of caffeine and combines hemp seed oil, B vitamins, spearmint and lemon balm. It is a drink with a fruity flavor. ounce cans are available in three sugar-free flavors : blueberry, passion fruit and raspberry and cucumber.

Rockstar Energy’s new energy drink offers the ingredients that consumers have been asking. “Ninety-one percent of our consumers told us they wanted a drink that would lift their spirits,” said Fabiola Torres, director of marketing for the Energy category.
hemp is non-psychoactive and contains little to no CBD. CBD-infused foods and beverages are subject to federal restrictions.
PepsiCo aims to attract younger customers with Rockstar’s latest release. Rockstar Unplugged features a colorful tin design with groove artwork expanding from the iconic Rockstar star, symbolizing aura, music and energy.
Rockstar Unplugged is out now available for purchase on the Rockstar Energy website and at retail stores where Pepsi products are sold, starting at $1.99 per can.
The infused energy drink features a new campaign, Turn Up Your Mood, featuring concepts such as mood and music . There is a new Rockstar Energy partnership with MTV that will highlight the Rockstar Unplugged product and launch a music series in Los Angeles.
According to Mintel, the consumption of energy drinks is on the rise. Total energy drink sales increased 9.2% in 2020, a 37.4% more than in 2015. PepsiCo and other beverage companies are experimenting with innovations in this beverage category.
Starbucks is launching its first energy drink called Starbucks Baya Energy. The drink is made from caffeine and is also added with vitamin C.
