The mystery surrounds the death of a Russian woman who lived in Denver, Colorado, and whose body was found buried in a makeshift grave near an abandoned mansion in Valencia, Spain.

Yana Rose , aged 40, went on vacation with her husband to Europe last August. The last time Rose spoke to her mother, Natalia Zernova, was December 25, the woman herself confirmed to FOX 31

The woman, said through the interpreter Julie Ioffe, that she feels confused and distressed since she lost communication with her daughter.

Surveillance camera images referred to this Thursday by The Daily Beast, they locate Rose’s Iranian-American husband, identified as Michael Hoseyni, in suspicious movements.

In one of the recordings held by the authorities, a subject is seen, believed to be Hoseyni, down the stairs of the luxury building in the municipality of Sotogrande dragging a body that would be that of the woman before throwing it into the trunk of a rented Ford Kuga.

The images were captured on Christmas day.

Another security camera recording, about eight hours later in Valencia, shows the man buying a shovel, a cane, axe, gloves and a knife in a “Do it yourself” store.

Police authorities in Spain believe that the suspect buried the body on 27 of December, according to the information contained in a GPS device of the car that was rented in Italy in August.

The decomposed and beaten corpse de Rose was discovered about three weeks later, on 21 January, in a makeshift grave about 1,200 kilometers north of Valencia, not far from the store where the man allegedly bought the tools.

Hoseyni, aged 55, was arrested on 28 in January when he traveled back to Spain. The man faces accusations of torturing and killing his wife, hiding her body, and traveling to Italy where he boarded a flight to London, England and then back to his home in Colorado.

The mother of the victim said that she tried by all means to communicate with her daughter. The woman reported that she called her son-in-law several times, as well as the victim’s phone. He even left voicemails.

Zernova received a call on 21 in January, but it wasn’t from his daughter, but from the Police in Valencia to indicate that they had found Rose’s body.
