The new book by Janney Marín, better known as Chiquis Rivera, entitled “Invincible” is now on sale and in it she shares experiences she has had to go through both in her professional and personal life.
“I am a very transparent person, in this book I am basically going to tell you what has happened, what you have heard, many things are not true, now I can tell it as it is, I am also going to admit my mistakes , because I also made mistakes like many women and many people, so I am going to talk about that and many things, to clarify what has been said, I feel that I deserve it as a woman, I feel that the people who follow me also deserve it ”, he commented at a press conference before the launch.
As he told it in an interview with Efe, he spent two years reading on the internet and watching on television a “distorted” version of his life without saying practically a word about it. It is until then that his version was saved for the book which he defined as “the truth”.
“It was very difficult not to say anything and it was healing to write it down,” admitted the artist, who acknowledged that reviewing the episodes of her life since she decided to sell her mother’s house, Jenni Rivera, until beginning of 2021 led her to go through moments in which she felt “stupid” and others in which she felt very “proud” of herself.
Although that cathartic process was not the engine behind the publication, which is already the most sold in advance by Amazon in the category of books in Spanish.
“I wrote ‘Invincible’ to help women who are going through the same thing and people who can recognize the situation of abuse in people close to them. It is a book for victims of domestic violence”, he pointed out.
“I want them to see that it is possible to get out of that, that we can break family patterns, that we can succeed in business. I didn’t do it to harm anyone, but to inspire”, she assured.
And it is that in the play Chiquis told details of her marriage to Lorenzo Méndez, with whom she was married for 2019 to 2020, in a story dominated by disappointments, mistreatment, drugs, alcoholism and betrayals that, without a doubt, leave the singer very badly off. . However, her uncles Rosie and Juan Rivera, who were in charge of her mother’s financial legacy, don’t look too good either.
Jenni Rivera’s daughter was aware that this book was going to bring many memories and cause more people to talk about it; however, she assures that she is ready for anything: “I am ready”.
More than a wave, it is more likely that “Invincible” will unleash a tsunami, since characters mentioned in it are beginning to react to his statements, although without success of a response from Chiquis, since she promised that after the interviews to promote the book she will not talk about those issues again, but will concentrate on her music.
