A California real estate broker has become a fugitive from the FBI, after fleeing after being sentenced to more than 08 years in jail for participating in a family fraud network that stole $18 millions in emergency loans due to the pandemic.

Tamara Dadyan, from 42 years, of Encino, was one of eight conspirators convicted in December of 2021 for the scam. The criminal network was led by her brother-in-law Richard Ayvazyan and her wife Marietta Terabelian.

Currently, the couple is also at large and it is believed that they cut their ankle monitors before his sentence. The authorities have offered a reward of 20,000 to whomever gives information about them.

While Dadyan is believed to have fled his home a week ago, the same day he was supposed to start serving his sentence.

The scam involved the use of identifications of deceased persons and the elderly to obtain up to 150 government loans.

FBI Special Agent Ryan Heaton explained to KTLA5, the reaction when the woman did not show up for sentencing.

“There was some surprise, but other than that, all we can do is try to find her,” said Heaton.

“Certainly, having a lot of money at your disposal can make it more difficult for us to locate you“, he added.

The agent also detailed that the stolen money was used to spend on his lifestyle, luxury items, trips, as well as cash withdrawals.

The fugitive’s attorney, Joseph Benincasa, told NBC he doesn’t know where she is. finds Dadyan and that he has not had contact with her since January 28, being the last time he he saw her in his office and when he thought she was on her way to turn herself in to the authorities.

After Dadyan disappeared, the Los Angeles FBI Twitter page posted an image of her and described her as a fugitive.
