Yaquba McGougain was indicted yesterday as a suspect in the shooting that left an employee dead and another injured outside a Latin bar in Yonkers (NY).

The shooting, captured on video , occurred outside “Dúo Tapas Bar and Lounge” on 748 Yonkers Ave shortly after 2: Sunday am. Moments before the incident there was a fight in front of the bar for undetermined reasons. Authorities say McGougain (23) left the business, returned with a gun and opened fire in the lobby area, hitting two employees.

Antonio Antoine-Filis (22), of Montvale, NJ, was shot twice, once in the torso and once in the hand, and died of his injuries. An unidentified janitor, a resident of the Bronx aged 23, was shot in the stomach. He was treated at a nearby hospital and released.

McGougain was arrested at the scene by patrol officers. Yesterday he was charged with murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He was booked into the Westchester County Jail.

“This was an absolutely horrible incident that happened here last night, the loss of a young life,” he told ABC News Councilman John Rubbo.
