Auguston Kane Medelez , aged 19, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Francisco Javier Nava Mendoza, a man who had lived in San Antonio fleeing the violence in Mexico.

The events occurred on 11 last October, around 7 in the morning, when Medelez and another suspect flagged down Mendoza on W. Hermine Boulevard. When the man stopped, perhaps believing the youths needed help, the defendant and the other suspect shot him and stole his cell phone.

After being hit by a bullet, Mendoza’s car rolled and crashed into a fence and stopped in the front yard of a house. The authorities arrived at the scene and found the man unconscious, they took him to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Between them they realized that the young man was talking to friends on social networks the day of the shooting saying that “the laws” were looking for him and if he could stay with them. I would have also asked another friend if he had any more 9s and where he could get more 9mm ammunition.
