she-has-undergone-more-than-50-surgeries-to-be-“the-human-barbie”-but-the-results-have-not-been-what-she-expected

A woman from Austin, Texas, named Jenny Lee Burton, proposed some time ago that she wanted to be a very different woman from the others, aspiring to become the true “human Barbie”.

When Jenny was 20 years old, she had already had a couple of cosmetic surgeries and that’s when she began her career to look like the famous Mattel doll. To date, she has had little more than 50 surgeries and according to her words, she still has a lot to do because she has not been able to achieve the results she wants.

In total, Lee Burton has undergone 59 cosmetic operations, including 3 lip implants and breast lifts, as well as liposuction.

The woman assures that since she was a teenager she developed an obsession with perfection, which has made her fight a constant battle regarding her self-esteem. “I try very hard to find acceptance, but when I look at my reflection I still don’t like what I see,” she declared in 2004 when she was invited to the Oprah Winfrey show, where she was compared by first time with Barbie.

However, undergoing so many aesthetic interventions does not affect only her. Ella’s daughter Kaleigh, who was 10 years old at the time of the interview, was also uncomfortable with what was happening. “All her life I’ve had surgeries, she doesn’t even know what I really look like. When my daughter sees photos of me before the operation, she can’t recognize me, we don’t even look alike,” she commented.

After her appearance on Oprah’s show, Jenny continued to undergo different surgeries, which she had to discontinue after finding out she was pregnant again. After giving birth, she went back to her surgical schedule and underwent other 33 operations.

And right in the middle of the process of physical change, the woman was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a disease that attacks the muscles, causing pain and generalized sensitivity. This condition leads her to have to be hospitalized for seasons.

The so-called “Barbie double” ensures that despite everything she has lived, she is still not happy with her appearance. Only the last rhinoplasty she underwent has given her some consolation. “Now I look at my nose and say, ‘She’s perfect!'” she told Oprah years later.

But she has also recognized that perhaps, before she was happier and she did not know it, without the need for so much surgery.

“I look at some photos where she was healthier and happier and I miss those days. I have to accept the fact that, for once in my life, I am not in control of my body”, he sentenced.
