The Premier League continues to establish itself as the most important football league in the world and for the first time in its history, it will have higher television revenues internationally than within the United Kingdom as of the season 2022-2023.

According to the British media, international networks will pay a total of 7,173 million dollars for the rights of British soccer, while the national ones will cancel $6,764 million dollars, all this between the years 2022 Y 2025.

This represents an economic increase of 30 % in international rights , with respect to the income that occurred in the period between 2019 and 2022. Likewise, the global income that is located in $16,528 million dollars, represents an increase of 16% compared to the previous period.

The high level exhibited by the league, whose teams have starring in two purely English finals in two of the last three editions of the UEFA Champions League, coupled with the return of the public to the stadiums after overcoming the pandemic, has generated a revaluation in television rights.

Another of the main ingredients that has helped to increase the television value of the Premier League is the fact that it has great stars from different countries, including Christian Pulisic, from the United States ; Raúl Jiménez, from Mexico; Mohamed Salah, from Egypt; Sadio Mané, from Senegal; Hwang-Hee Chan and Heung-min Son, from South Korea; and the most recent case of Luis Díaz, from Colombia.

In addition to surpassing other leagues in soccer level, according to what has been seen in international competitions, the Premier will also prevail in economic income and by far, to LaLiga de España that, according to a report by the consulting firm KPMG, receives $4,994 million dollars from abroad.

Far behind is the Bundesliga, which barely exceeds $1,000 millions; the Italian Series A, which earns less than $544 million; and the French Ligue 1, which between 2018 and 2024 will receive $544 million dollars for transmissions from outside its borders.

As for the Premier teams, the champion of the next season will receive $202 million dollars for the title, instead of the 202 current, while the one that ends bottom will be done with 143 million, instead of the current 30.

For its part , this increase in rights will help the most modest clubs in the English football pyramid, since the teams of the English Football League (EFL), which comprises from the Second to the Fifth division, will receive $2 ,156 million dollars between 2022 and 2025.
