After the mental lapse that the manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, had, in which he forgot which team was the champion of the Copa Libertadores, the manager of Palmeiras, the Portuguese Abel Ferreira, sent him a message inviting him to meet to the team.
“I invite you to watch the match and get to know Palmeiras”, Ferreira joked during the press conference prior to the FIFA Club World Cup final, at the that will face English Chelsea in Abu Dhabi.

“Europeans know South America very well (…) I have to say that I admire Guardiola a lot, I imagine he doesn’t have time as he is very focused on winning the Champions League because he is one of the best teams today” Ferreira said.
Palmeiras, one of the most successful teams in Brazil, reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup after beating Egyptian Al-Ahly 2-0, while Chelsea prevailed narrowly 0- 1 to the Saudi Al-Hilal.
