This Saturday, Chelsea FC suffered more than necessary to beat Palmeiras 2-1 in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup that was played in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and Christian Pulisic made history by becoming the first American to hoist said trophy.

‘Captain America’ entered the field of play at the minute 30 after Mason Mount’s injury and was a fundamental part of the blue attack led by Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz, who scored the two goals for the London club.

Another fact left by the coronation of Chelsea FC is that it allowed Pulisic to be the fifth Concacaf player to be Club World Champion.

The first were: Rafael Márquez (FC Barcelona), Chicharito Hernández (Real Madrid) , Keylor Navas (Real Madrid) and Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich). The Costa Rican goalkeeper stands out who won it in 2014, 2016, 2017 Y 2018.

Pulisic is already the most internationally decorated American player in European soccer: Champions League 2021, UEFA Super Cup 2021, Club World Cup 2018. Besides that in 2021 he also lifted the Concacaf Nations League with the United States National Team.
