Everyone knows that the Super Bowl is not enjoyed in the same way if it is not accompanied by snacks and lots and lots of guacamole. However, the bad news is that the price of avocados has risen, reaching all-time highs.

And it is that a box of 19 pounds of Hass avocado from Mexico to the United States costs $6.29 more than it did during the same period last year, according to Bloomberg calculations.

The record price is due to a combination of skyrocketing production costs, labor shortages and supply chain delays that have caused price increases in all industries.

It should be noted that Super Bowl Sunday is the day that most avocados are consumed in the country, so fans should expect to spend more than they planned on this food.

Not only will avocado be more expensive, since, according to Wells Fargo economists, it is expected to spend between 8% and 14% more on food than is normally consumed at the Super Bowl.

The products Popular meat products like hamburgers and chicken wings have already skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the country struggles with supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, and shipment delays.

In addition, inflation reached a maximum in four decades of 7% in December, according to the Consumer Price Index.

For all of the above, prepared chicken wings are a 14% more expensive for the variety with bone and 26% more expensive for the variety without bone. Steak is 23% more expensive than a year ago and hamburger ground beef is up 26 % compared to last year.
