Pablo Martín Páez Gavira, better known as “Gavi” is being one of the revelations of the FC Barcelona season since the Roland Koeman era and now under the command of Xavi Hernández. The Spanish coach once again took the opportunity to surrender to the talent of the 17-year-old footballer.

“It is wonderful to train Gavi, he is a competitive beast. He steals a lot of balls, has a lot of intensity and is a competitive beast. The pressure after losing is spectacular”, Xavi Hernández told the press.

The potential that the Sevillian has shown has served to establish himself in the eleven of the Blaugrana and also seize the attention of El de Terrassa. Without forgetting that Xavi himself has celebrated with great intensity the goals scored by the footballer.

The impressive thing about it all is that Gavi’s emergence has been increasing with the passing of the matches and not only with the Catalan team, but also with the absolute selection of Spain; since Luis Enrique himself has also highlighted on different occasions the greatness of the midfielder.

Furthermore, with only 10 years and a promising road ahead in European football, Xavi also reiterated that there is still some room for improvement to become one of the best in the world in his position.

“He is very talented, but he must know when to rest, when to go into space or when to go inside. With 17 years old he has incredible talent, he makes a difference and it is wonderful to train him, ”concluded the coach.

Gavi, has so far played 18 matches in the Santander League with two goals scored and has distributed three assists with the azulgranas. These numbers make it clear that he is one of the most outstanding players in the club since the Xavi era began and everything seems to indicate that he will be the image of the club along with Pedri, Ronald Araújo and Ansu Fati.
