The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal finished second this Sunday in the Baleares Mid-Amateur, a tournament that brought together a hundred non-professional golfers over the age of 25 years in the field of Club Aucanada, in the town of Alcúdia (Balearic Islands).
Nadal, on behalf of Club Son Servera, employed 151 hits (74+70) in the two days of competition, 12 more than the first classified, Federico Páez (70), of the Club Pula Golf (70+60).
The winner of 21 Grand Slam titles, the last of which he won at the recent Australian Open by beating Russian Daniil Medvedev in five sets, he also showed with the golf clubs that he is an accomplished specialist.
The Spanish tennis player did not drop from second place in the two days played and was only surpassed by Federico Páez, referee of the cir European cuito and member of the Balearic team that in 2019 won the bronze medal in the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Federations.
Nadal usually participates in the golf tournaments that are held in Mallorca whenever the international tennis circuit allows it. The Balearic athlete plans to compete in Acapulco, from 21 to 26 February, and Indian Wells, between March 7 and 20.
