In recent months, both Barcelona and Real Madrid have been the main teams rumored to be trying to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Norwegian Erling Haaland, but now there would be a third candidate on the list to take over the services of the striker: Manchester City.
Although the strongest candidates to sign Haaland are the Spanish clubs, Manchester City in the race could disrupt the plans of both.
According to reports from ‘Football Insider’, City is already working to take the attacker to the Premier League, paying the German club the succulent figure of 79 millions of euros.
The English offer would come after Haaland told him his entourage wanting a change of scenery at the end of this season, something that Barcelona and Real Madrid know first-hand, although both handle different projects for Haaland.
In the case of Real Madrid, the newspaper Ruhr Nachricht reported that the whites expect Haaland to wear white but it would be from 2023, as currently his efforts are focused on the signing of Kylian Mbappé. Due to this situation, they would have asked Dortmund to delay the entry into force of their termination clause for 2023 so that no club could acquire him suddenly, thus ensuring his signing.
On the part of Barcelona, he dreams that the Norwegian commands the forward for the coming season but economic problems have caused problems in the club, which would place them at a disadvantage with respect to City, Real Madrid and even another team with power like PSG.
