One man died and two were wounded by gunshots in an incident that occurred this Sunday at dawn in the town of Manatí, in northern Puerto Rico.
The agents went to the place after being alerted by a call to the emergency system about detonations in the Luchetti de Manatí urbanization, reported a police statement.
They met an individual, identified as Misael Andrés Colon Maldonado, from 24 years old and a resident of Manatí, who had a gunshot wound to the right side.
The young man was being treated by paramedics and was transported to the Manatí Doctor Center Hospital, where he later died.
Colon Maldonado had a criminal record for drugs and aggravated robbery.
In addition, Carlos Manuel Maysonet Peña, of 23 years, and Edgardo David Pagan Rodríguez, of 28 years old, both residents of Manatí.
The first was transferred to the Manatí Doctor Center Hospital and the second, to the Rio Piedras Medical Center, in a state of care.
Another violent death reported today by the Police occurred yesterday afternoon in front of the Hiram Bithorn Stadium, located in the San Juan neighborhood of Hato Rey.
According to preliminary information, the Police were alerted through a phone call to 911 about a person with a gunshot wound at the scene .
Agents found a Mitsubishi vehicle Lancer with several bullet wounds and, inside, the body of a man, identified as Nestor E. Berrios Torres, aged 31 and a resident of Guaynabo.
To these cases are added two double murders perpetrated yesterday, Saturday, in Canovanas and Las Piedras, in which two men and two women died.
