A Texas high school baseball coach is recovering after a group of high school students assaulted and physically assaulted him.

Through a video of the attack that occurred on Thursday which was shared by Fox 26 Houston, students are seen chasing the coach, whose identity has not been revealed, at Langham Creek High School, which is part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD), and then punched his victim causing her to fall to the ground.

Although the CFISD spokesperson has not detailed how the coach’s health is evolving, people familiar with the incident assured the aforementioned outlet that he is fine and is recovering.

“I was surprised when I found out that nobody did anything,” said student Xavier Houston. “Especially when I saw that it was a group of high school students.”

Likewise, another student named Logan Wisniewski recounted how the aggression began, noting that there were young people causing a fuss with their motorcycles, something that the coach did not like.

“The coach was not happy with that. He politely asked them to stop doing that. The boys didn’t agree, so they decided to jump on him,” said the teenager.

Immediately the video spread and more and more students found out about the aggression suffered by the coach.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that a school shooting threat was posted on social media following the uproar caused by the video of the attack.

“I kind of didn’t want to go to school today. I was really trying to see if I could go home“added Xavier Houston in his statement.

Because of concern about the violent episode and the apparent threat, José Martínez, director of Langham High School Creek sent a letter to the parents informing them that the suspects had been arrested.

“Our administrative team is aware of the circulation of a video involving several students from Aragon High School in an incident at Langham Creek High on Thursday 10 February. We are working collaboratively with Aragon administration and the CFISD Police Department to complete a thorough investigation. The suspected minors were identified and detained,” said Martínez.
