melania-trump-upset-after-revealing-her-fundraising-suspect,-but-there-is-an-open-investigation

Former first lady Melania Trump is selling tickets for an event in April whose proceeds would supposedly go to an initiative to help children and adolescents with computer science scholarships.

However, Florida officials have opened an investigation, following a report by The New York Times that no organization under the name Melania Trump raises funds under has registered in Florida.

The sponsors are supposedly Be Best or Fostering the Future, but neither has been registered to obtain the funds.

The Times story was shared by Raw Story and Melania Trump’s office responded to it.

“Dishonest report again. Everything has been done legally and the documents are in order. Read a typically corrupt media with caution”, it was shared on Twitter.

The former first lady’s office states that it is working with the Bradley Impact Fund, a donor advisory fund, to select charities that will receive the resources.

Unclear who is leading the investigation into the Melania Trump event.
