A minor 12 years old, whose name is unknown at this time, was accused of maliciously posing as a classmate and creating false accounts of Instagram, as well as emails to threaten Renaissance Charter School students and staff.

According to Pembroke Pines police, the Florida student not only made threats to her schoolmates, but herself in order to incriminate a 13 year-old girl.

After the events, the police arrested the minor after the threats of 19 November, however, was exonerated of all charges.

“The police officers confirmed that the actual suspect maliciously posed as another student, created email and Instagram accounts to send herself and other students threatening messages, and intentionally lied to law enforcement and school staff. sneak in to incriminate another person,” said police captain Adam Feiner at the minor’s release.

When the minor was arrested, the defendant’s mother chose to exercise her rights and did not cooperate with the investigators, so they could not intervene the digital devices of the minor at that time; a month later the mother shared information that led to evidence implicating the minor.

Despite the minor having charges dropped by the State Attorney’s Office of Broward, these will remain in your file.
