NYPD is on the trail of a man suspected of robbing and attempting to rape a woman at dawn, inside his building in Lower Manhattan.

Police said the suspect attacked the woman of 57 years old around 5 am on Saturday 12, inside the lobby of his residential building, near Saint Marks Place and First Avenue in the East Village. The following day, the NYPD released a video of the alleged attacker, seeking his arrest.

The suspect sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing with her bag, which contained a wallet, a credit card and a camera, according to New York Post. The victim was treated at an area hospital for a swollen lip and lacerations to the mouth.
