What is needed to guarantee more years of life and that it be of good quality? Surely the answer that everyone will give you to this question is to lead a healthy life.

And what exactly do we mean by that? Well, for some it’s simple, eat well, exercise and rest as needed.

Of course this is a great answer if what we want is to draw up a plan that improves our quality of life and helps us guarantee that we will live longer; however, sometimes we do not know where to start to make some changes and which ones are most necessary.

Precisely on the subject, on Tiktok a doctor named Anthony Youn shared the results of a study that in theory would reveal how we can live 13 more years, making some modifications, especially in the diet.

Youn makes reference in his video to an investigation published in PLOS Medicine, which arrived to the conclusion that with 6 changes a decade could be added, and even a little more life.

The modifications in the diet to live longer and better would be the following:

1) Change refined cereals for whole grains.
2) Eat more legumes.
3) Eat less red and processed meat.
4) Eat more nuts and seeds.
5) Drink less sugary drinks and give up sodas.
6) Eat more fish

Among other recommendations, Dr. Youn added eating more fruits and vegetables and reducing dairy consumption.
