Last Sunday, the almost newlyweds Edmar and Daymel Andrade were on their way to his parents’ house to enjoy the Super Bowl when their car was hit by a drunk driver and although the couple was taken to the hospital, Edmar did not survived, as she fights for her life.
The couple’s family set up a fundraiser on GoFundMe, where they recounted the events of the accident in Los Angeles, California.
“A drunk driver It hit the driver’s side and both were seriously injured“, it is narrated. “Unfortunately, that accident stole the life of Edmar (a healthy boy who had the heart to help others)”.
Daymel, in addition to being a widow, is seriously injured and is being kept in intensive care, where she is being treated for a blow to the skull. The couple had been married for almost a year.
“They had plans to travel and explore different places as newlyweds before their next big step”, it is added. “They had planned to move to a bigger house to start a family together at the end of this year. Now those wonderful plans are gone and Daymel, she is left to start over with life as she came to know it.”
The fundraiser for Edmar’s funeral was started by his brother Carlos. The money will also be used to help the young widow.
“We wholeheartedly want to ask EVERYONE for help. Family, friends and whoever comes across this message. Help us support Daymel to worry about something less, which is this economic thing and that she takes care of her speedy recovery, ”she exposes.
Once she is released from intensive care, Daymel will have to receive physical and psychological therapy, she told herself.
The couple supported the Rams, who won the Super bowl.
“We are going to honor your life Edmar , taking care of your treasure. The Rams won for you, and we will take good care of your girl”, he wrote.
The goal is to collect $12,000 dollars, but just over $12,000 have been raised.
