With 30 years of age, James Rodríguez lives football with another maturity and focuses on maintaining an optimal level to play at least five more years, This was revealed on his Twitch channel this Sunday night from Qatar.
“I think that the 30, 36 years. I think it’s a good age. I think that you have to leave football, not football that leaves you. When I see that this is happening, I will step aside”, revealed the Colombian midfielder.
Right now he is a player for Al Rayyan from Qatar, the country that will host the FIFA World Cup 2022 and that he does not want to lose: “The panorama is very difficult now, but we have to win the last two games, there is something with which, I see a quality group, doing things well each internationally; there are things that cannot be explained, but we will fight until the end”.
James does not stop studying and training academically. He now even he wants to be a coach.
“Yes. I am finishing the sports management course, I will finish it in June. I would like to have the coaching course too. Before I didn’t want to be a coach, now I’m liking the tactical theme. When I watch football, I see how they are standing, how they are attacking and defending, how they occupy the field… it is something that I did not like before, but now it is attracting me. It’s worrying me because I didn’t want to be a coach. I’m going to take the course and in a few years, let’s see what happens”, acknowledged the midfielder.
The alleged fight with Falcao
After the match against the Argentine National Team, on the last FIFA Date, a section of the Colombian team revealed that there was an alleged fight between James Rodríguez and Radamel Falcao, the captains of the squad. They asked him about this situation and the ’10’ was categorical.
“How am I going to fight with a person who is my brother?! We have a relationship of 12 years, all of that is a lie, do not believe what that press says, that some are toxic. Is a lie. Among the group we have a fantastic relationship. Unfortunately we were not given the results, but the atmosphere is always good with Falcao and the other guys, I have no problem with anyone”, he concluded.
